Iconic Norman Cherner “Pretzel” chairs by Plycraft. In great original condition. The bent plywood arms have some slight color variations with some patina that adds a perfect vintage aesthetic. I am willing to refinish and tone these for additional cost but these are an exceptional value as is when considering the average prices that these routinely sell for online. Originally designed by George Nelson of Herman Miller and manufactured by Plycraft, they proved to be too expensive and fragile to manufacture. Nelson recommended Norman Cherner to Plycraft to improve the design and make it a viable product. Goldman ultimately scrapped the project, but later sold the chairs under the designer name Bernardo.
