Hello, I'm Blake B.

Hi! My name is Blake​,​ and I am a country girl​,​ turned mountain girl​,​ from Kentucky. My wife is a professor​,​ and her job brought us to the mountain west five years ago​,​ and we have completely fallen in love with it. I own a photography business that keeps me very busy​,​ but I am always looking for free time to refinish Danish and MCM furniture. It is a hobby that I love very much. I use only the best products from Mohawk and general finishes​,​ and I pay great attention to detail in every piece that I work on. All of the furniture in our personal home is an MCM piece that I have restored (mostly danish). I absolutely love meeting other MCM’ers​,​ and I am very passionate about providing information on the history of pieces​,​ refinishing tips​,​ and just talking about all things mid century. Honesty and transparency are very important values to me​,​ and if there was one tip that I could give to anyone on here​,​ it is to thoroughly inspect anything you’re thinking about buying. A little more about me- I am an avid outdoorsman (mountain biker and skier). When I’m not working​,​ my wife and I are usually traveling around the west in our camper van​,​ photographing wildlife​,​ and playing in the mountains. I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures. I am also a massive lover of all animals​,​ and I have never come across a stray that I haven’t rescued. Kind people are my kind of people​,​ and I will absolutely go out of my way for you in anyway that I can. Looking forward to hopefully working with you!
