Hello, I'm Blake B.

Hi! My name is Blake​,​ and I am a country girl​,​ turned mountain girl​,​ from Kentucky. My wife is a professor​,​ and her job brought us to the mountain west five years ago​,​ and we have completely fallen in love with it here. I own a photography business that keeps me very busy​,​ but I am always looking for free time to refinish Danish and MCM furniture. It is a hobby that I love very much. I use only the best products from Mohawk and general finishes​,​ and I pay great attention to detail in every piece that I refinish. There’s not a single piece of furniture in our house that isn’t an MCM piece that I have refinished. A little more about me- I am an avid outdoorsman​,​ and mountain biker. When I’m not working​,​ my wife and I are usually traveling around the west in our camper van​,​ photographing wildlife​,​ and playing in the mountains. I am a skier​,​ and have been my whole life​,​ but the older I get​,​ the more I come to love warm weather. We typically spend a great deal of the winter in Costa Rica​,​ and this year we will be in Thailand. I love talking about all things travel​,​ and I welcome all the recommendations. I love meeting​,​ new people and learning about other cultures. I am also a massive lover of all animals​,​ and I have never come across a stray that I haven’t rescued.
