1958 Drexel Projection Dresser/Credenza
1958 Drexel “Projection” Lowboy Dresser/Credenza was rescued this from an extremely gross and dimly lit basement near Colfax. This gem of atomic era furniture was protected from it’s environment by not 100s….. but 1000s of dirty magazines stacked on top of it . The finish was stripped and a custom mix of toners was blended to get an exact match to the original. The rich warm color pairs perfectly with the silken walnut and pecan woods with low horizontal lines and graceful proportions. (Stole that line from the original Drexel catalog) The rounded legs and offset attachments make it appear as if the top is floating, giving it a great space age look. Featuring eight dovetailed drawers with built in dividers and a neutral colored drawer liner. The drawers are very deep when compared to other MCM dressers giving ample storage to make this a daily stalwart in your home. Originally designed by John Van Koert, the Projection line was only produced for 3 years, making this a pretty rare find. I’ve owned Kent Coffey, Broyhill Brasilia, and some Kipp Stewart Declaration pieces…. this one really blows them away as far as quality of construction and super unique look. 66w 32h 19d Hyena sourced from @scavengedgoods
